About the author

Learning everyday what it means to be staying the journey in a fallen world full of sin and dysfunction. i love Yahoshua, coffee, sports, and most people. Okay, i love all people, some just make it more difficult, me included. my boys are second only to YHWH my Elohim and i am thankful for their love and support. In 2020 i stepped away after 28 years of ministry. i acted in an unjust way, it lacked empathy, and caused unnecessary stress and heartache to people i love. Although, i didn’t stop writing. It was through the outlet of the written word and deep study that a repentant heart was formed. Because, of my belief in the redeeming work of Yahoshua i still have a purpose and a passion.

While on this faith journey, which dates back to when i was a kid. i have constantly grown in my relationship with Yahoshua. i met Him and knew Him as Jesus, i am not a sacred namer, who is against the Name Jesus. i do however have conviction and it grows with each passing day. Which leads me to call Him Yahoshua. What every scholar will tell you, was His given name in Hebrew. Given a couple of variances in spelling. This is the most true to present day Joshua. Which is a more honest transliteration into English than the name Jesus. Why the church continues to use the Greek rooted, Jesus, knowing what we know, i do not know. But my convictions point me in this direction.

As well, i have been reading and reading and reading through Scripture. Throughout my ministry of course, having a degree in Biblical Studies, and History of Religion. However, since 2020 i have made it my goal to know Yahoshua through His word. Rather than modern mans interpretation of Him. Beyond professors ideas and modern works which are abundant. However, i haven’t given up entirely on reading outside sources. In fact, i have read the complete works of Josephus, and Augustine, with numerous other historical works in reference. All with the soul purpose of understanding Yahoshua, through the eyes of early church historians.

This has brought me to the feet of the Rabbi, Yahoshua. How did He walk, and talk? What was His mission, and how did He go about accomplishing it? This is the Way of the Rabbi, this is how i want to be. We talk about wanting to be like Yahoshua, but are we seriously walking as He walked, doing as He did? Can we truly claim the idea presented by Yahoshua Himself in Luke 6:40? “A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.” If you want justification for something you are doing, if you look hard enough you will find it. Surely there is at least one verse waiting to be taken out of context and misquoted.

my journey has not been an easy one. Mainly, because of my own decisions. But i would never give up on it. For He would never give up on me. Because, i have stayed the journey, it has lead me to the Way of the Rabbi. i hope you find these writings insightful. May they be beneficial to your own walk of faith, and perhaps lead you to desire . . . The Way of the Rabbi.

i did write a book which is already out dated with new life experience and biblical understanding. Yet, still its core is solid. If you want to check it out it is “Staying the Journey, the narrow road”. The title certainly survived. Released December 2019. You can buy your copy at Barns and NobleAmazon or wherever you buy books! If you are unable to purchase one, but would like one, email the address below. Include your mailing address and one will be sent to you for free. i only ask that you read it and share it. i am not always perfect. And i may not always be right, but i am always learning from the One who is . . . Yahoshua Adonai.
