Avoiding Deception: The Call to Biblical Truth

Avoiding Deception: The Call to Biblical Truth

Confused? So am i. In Matthew 24:4 Yahoshua warns, “See that no one leads you astray.” In other words, do not be deceived. We are told throughout Scripture to be weary of those who profess to know truth but speak falsehoods. They lie and they scheme to lead others away from the truth. That in the last days wolves will creep into the Ekklesia and deceive many, even the elect if possible.

This morning a popular pastor and teacher warned of this saying. “We are going to pray together against deception. We hope that people will choose to read their Bibles instead of getting their theology from TikTok. A lot of people who build their theology on TikTok are going to be very disappointed someday.” He went on to say that we need to take on the whole counsel of Scripture. That if your church doesn’t teach the whole Bible, flee from that church! He said, “Let us pray that you, me, and anyone else out there being deceived would comeback to Biblical truth. Stop listening to people, that includes me, start judging everything by the Bible.” He also said that this is the age of the gentile. That yes Jews can be saved, by coming into the fullness of Messiah.

All of this sounds great! Until, you begin to recognize that the modern church or Westernized Church has this belief. The modern church says: “Become like the gentile to be saved!” When Elohim calls the gentile to be like Israel.” The pastor went on to say that he would be speaking at a particular church “this Sunday.” Whose Sabbath is this Sunday’s? If we are taking the whole counsel of Elohim it isn’t YHWH’s or Yahoshua’s. This is the greatest deception facing the church today! The Sabbath is the sign of the covenant. It is the wedding ring! This is what separates us outwardly. Not that teaching can’t happen on Sunday. Certainly it can as we see Paul teaching on the 1st day of the week. The concern becomes the blatant disregard for the 7th Day Sabbath. Especially when warning about deception and false teaching.

The pastor used Romans 11:11 to make his point. It states: “So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.” Which is really ironic since it calls us to live like the Hebrews. We should be living to make the natural branches jealous, stirring a desire to return to Elohim within them. “But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if Elohim did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you.” Romans 11:17-21.

This is where the whole counsel of Elohim becomes more than just word play. Where taking in the fullness of a passage is far more important than taking one verse out of context. Then twisting it to fit what makes you comfortable. Exactly as Peter warns. “And count the patience of Adonai as salvation. Just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him. So as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand. Which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand. Take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people [Torahless people]. Thereby, losing your own stability. But Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Adonai and Savior Yahoshua Messiah. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:15-17.

Most of what he said was actually good advice. Put on the full armor of Elohim. Don’t believe everything you hear even from your pastor. Test the teaching against Scripture. Does it line up with what Elohim has already said? Remember, He is the same and His Word endures forever. Now after saying all of this he says here are the devils tactics.

First, he will get you to doubt what you have believed. True. Yet the Holy Spirit will also correct us if we are wrong. Philippians 3:15 gives us insight. “Let those of us who are mature think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, Elohim will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained.” Sounds a lot like being challenged on our beliefs to me. So what we need is discernment. To know the voice of Elohim. So what is the test that we are listening to the True Voice of Elohim? “Truly, truly I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.”

How do we know that we are entering in through the narrow way? This same idea is presented time and time again. Paul says it this way, “Imitate me as I also imitate Messiah.” Yahoshua says, “If you love Me, YOU WILL keep My commandments.” Later in the same chapter He says, “If anyone loves Me, HE WILL keep My word. For this My Father will love him. We will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever DOES NOT love Me DOES NOT KEEP My words. And the word that you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 14:15 & 23-24. Yahoshua is the Word made Flesh, that Word is Torah! Elohim’s Words to His chosen people of which we get to be apart by way of Yahoshua. As Romans 11 says again, “grafted in” to the branch, Israel.

Second, the pastor goes on to warn of Satan’s attacks. To which i have no quarrels. He will attack us and he knows the Word of Elohim well. He is a master craftsman of manipulation who twists scripture better than anyone or anything could ever hope to do. So it is important to know how did Yahoshua confront Satan in the wilderness. While He was being tempted at the start of His ministry. He confronted him with the very Word of Elohim. “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD of Elohim.” Do you know His Word personally, or only know of it through man? Do you read it and meditate on it so that it becomes written on your heart and mind? Want to know what voice you are listening to? Study the word!

Hear the words of the Prophet Isaiah, again i say SHEMA!

Thus says YHWH! ‘Keep justice, and do righteousness, for soon My salvation will come. My righteousness will be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast. Who KEEPS THE SABBATH, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.’ Let not the foreigner who has JOINED himself to YHWH say, ‘YHWH will surely separate me from His people.'” Later, he writes: –– “And the foreigners who join themselves to YHWH, to minister to Him, to love the name of YHWH, and to be His servants, everyone who KEEPS THE SABBATH and does not profane it, and holds fast My covenant–– these I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer.” Isaiah 56:1-3 & 6-7.

If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of YHWH honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly, then you shall take delight in YHWH, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken.” Isaiah 58:13-14.

The devil loves it when we ignore the word of Elohim for our traditions and our religions. He loves it when we call on a hollow name because we don’t know the one who has it. He loves our speeches of adornment with no actionable practices. He loves that we have fallen for the lies and the twisting and the deceptions. He loves the unlearned teachers or the overly prideful ones. He loves the lazy pew warmers who lap up the same soured milk Sunday after Sunday.

Depart from me, you who practice Torahlessness, for I never knew you.” Psalm 6:8 & Matthew 7:23

Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices Torahlessness; sin is Torahlessness.” 1 John 3:4

Hot indignation has take hold of me because of the wicked, who forsake your Torah.” Psalm 119:53

Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning. I remember Your Name in the night, O YHWH. I keep Your Torah. This blessing has fallen to me, that I have kept Your precepts.” Psalm 119:54-56

I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:6-7 Interestingly, the Torah is also known as ‘The Way, The Path, Instruction.’ It is known as Truth, ‘Your Word is Truth.’ It is known as the Life, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone. But, by every Word of Elohim.’ His Word is a light to our path, this journey of life, it is the Way of the Rabbi. If you don’t want to be lead astray than you must know the Truth through the Truth. You must know the Word by knowing the Word. You must start now because time is drawing short and the return of our Messiah is approaching.

The Significance of Sabbath Observance Today

The Significance of Sabbath Observance Today

i have thought about this series for some time. How do i share my understanding in a way that leads you, the reader, into curiosity? To inspire a deeper look into Scripture. To light a fire within you to be like the people of Berea. Who received with joy, the words being taught to them. But then went and searched the Scriptures to see whether or not it was true. There are plenty of posts you can go over in which i will have touched on these ideas presented here. Although, not so succinctly as i will try in this series of posts. i will present the options and then give my ‘why’s’ trying to be fair to both sides in the end. These are the topics i will present over the next few days. Yahoshua or Jesus (see post); Rabbi or Teacher (see post); Adonai Elohim or Lord God (see post); Feast Days or Holidays (see post); Sabbath or Sunday (Current Post). It has been my goal to persuade you to begin to evaluate your ‘why’s’. To ask the question of yourself, “Am I using mans justification or Elohim’s Word, to determine my beliefs?” Let’s wrap this series up.

Sabbath or Sunday:
In my last post i went over the idea of Feast Days or Holidays. Presenting the idea of the significance of Elohim’s Feasts. In the description of the Feast Days in Leviticus you will find the Sabbath Day. In fact it leads the way. Leviticus 23 begins — Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelite’s and say to them, ‘These are My appointed feasts, the feasts of Yahweh that you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies. For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, a day of sacred assembly. You must not do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to Yahweh.

The Sabbath wasn’t new to Israel. The Creator of the Universe in the beginning said, “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. And by the seventh day Elohim had finished the work He had been doing. So on that day He rested from all His work. Then Elohim blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished.” From the beginning of time Adonai was demonstrating the necessity of rest. He designed it as a day of reflection, a day to gather, a day to feast. You begin with a gathering in which you feast together with those in your family and community of faith. You commemorate the very first Sabbath each week at the end of six days of labor. Reflecting on the goodness of Elohim.

The Sabbath Day wasn’t just demonstrated to us by Yahweh Himself, He instructed us to observe it. In the passage above from Genesis 2 and in the Ten Commandments given at Mt Sinai. Exodus says, “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your Elohim, on which you must not do any work—neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant or livestock, nor the foreigner within your gates. For in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, but on the seventh day He rested. Therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.” This is the fourth commandment. It is the most detailed of all the commandments given to Moses on Mt Sinai.

The Sabbath Day was important to Yahweh. He demonstrated it and commanded it. He held Israel to a standard regarding it. Isaiah writes, “If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy day of Yahweh honorable; and if you honor it, not doing your own ways, or finding your own pleasure, or speaking your own words, then you will delight yourself in Yahweh, and I will make you ride on the heights of the land and feed you with the heritage of your father Jacob.“. (Isaiah 58:13-14) It was a covenant sign between Yahweh and His people. Exodus 31:13-17 — “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, ‘You shall be careful to keep My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies you… You are to observe the Sabbath, for it is a holy day to you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death… It is a permanent sign, a covenant forever“.

There is no passage of Scripture that changes or modifies the Sabbath in any way. No reputable scholar will argue this point. Yahoshua said, “I am Adon (Master) of the Sabbath.” He kept the Sabbath, attending synagogue faithfully on the Sabbath. While His body lay lifeless in a tomb. One could say that both metaphorically and physically Yahoshua rested on the Sabbath. The Apostles all kept the Sabbath. Throughout the book of Acts we read about Sabbath observance. So where does the modern tradition of Sunday observance come in? What verse changes the day? The answer is none. Not one single verse. It is impossible to argue the other side because it doesn’t exist. The only place that references a change to the Sabbath Commandment is the Catechism of the Catholic Church Article 3.

Unfortunately, in their own Catechism they incorrectly number the commandments calling the Sabbath Commandment number three instead of four. Presumably, to allow for their engraved images. They take great delight in their ability to change times and seasons. This action is expressly forbidden in Scripture. It is also warned against. Found in both Deuteronomy (4:2) and Revelation (22:18-19). The act of changing times and seasons is written of as being from the spirit of Anti-Christ. Daniel 7:25 says, “He will speak words against the Most High and try to exhaust the holy ones of the Most High. He will attempt to alter the seasons and the Torah; and [the holy ones] will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.”

The Sabbath is a blessing! It is not too difficult to do. Science has shown that resting as prescribed by the Sabbath command is extremely beneficial to good health. In all areas of our lives, physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally. It was demonstrated by Elohim, observed by Yahoshua and His disciples. We are instructed to be like Yahoshua. Paul writes, “Imitate me as I imitate Messiah.” I believe that not observing the Sabbath day puts us at odds with Elohim. Scripture indicates it is a sign for all generations. It also says it is for the foreigner. It is for the servant. So one cannot say it was only for Israel. So what will you do? Will you obey mans tradition or Elohim’s Word?

Finding Favor: The Balance of Faith and Community

“. . . having favor with all the people.” There is something i have heard a few times lately that has pricked my spirit. It’s not that what is being said or taught is wrong, it’s not. In fact an argument can be made that my point here is lacking. The idea is this, if we are going to live for Messiah, we can expect to be hated. In fact, if we aren’t getting push back it is because we are not living out loud enough, for Elohim. After all the Word says, “You will be hated, for My (Yahoshua) names sake.” This isn’t said in passing, it’s essentially a promise. This is what i am trying to talk to . . . “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”

This quote, often attributed to Alexander Hamilton, has been used in a variety of ways. Constructively, it has been said in standing up for our principles and the marginalized. In the case of our principles, we must live by conviction. Otherwise, we will succumb to whichever way the wind blows. For the marginalized, if we do not stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, what then do we stand for? And, if we are so weak that we can’t stand, then we will fall for anything. However, as of late it seems, at least to my ears, that it has been twisted. Now it is said of the religious as a battle cry against the marginalized. Swept away by the crowd with the torches and pitchforks. Running from crusade to crusade in the name of religion.

The Word of Elohim is clear, there is right and there is wrong. There are the Commands of Elohim and the ways of the world. There is the flesh which is sinful. “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, orgies, and things like these.” It goes on to say, “I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the Kingdom of Elohim.” Contrast that with the fruit of the Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”(Galatians 5:18-23).

The followers of Yahoshua the Nazarene, were taught to walk in the Spirit. Within the body of Yahoshua we hold each other accountable. We call out sin. We rejoice at the repentant heart, and we cast out the unrepentant. However, among the outsiders, we live among them. We live as Ambassadors. We proclaim the honorable day of Adonai. We say, “Today is the day of salvation!” We tell those captive to sin, that there is freedom. We tell those marginalized that there is no partiality in Messiah. We proclaim, repentance from the ways of the flesh and the call to walk in the Spirit. But with the people we must live. The Word teaches us, “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” Elohim says, vengeance is Mine, I will repay. Therefore, “To the contrary if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink . . . Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” This passage is found in Romans 12:18-21, i did leave out one piece. “. . . by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” This is part of the vengeance, the judgment to come. It is not ours to do.

It will be terrible, with weeping and gnashing of teeth. Eternally separated from the very One who our spirits long for. Think about how horrific that will be! To what lengths would you want someone to go to for you to hear the message of hope and salvation? The early believers, shortly after Yahoshua ascended into Heaven, were living in such away that they found favor in the eyes of all the people. Acts tells us this in the second chapter. “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together and had all things common and sold their possessions and property and distributed them to everyone, as each one had need. Continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food together with gladness and singleness of heart, praising Elohim and having favor (grace) with all the people. And Adonai added to the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} daily such as should be saved.

At present this place is not our home. We are in fact foreigners. We have the Kingdom with in us, we desire that the Kingdom come and Elohim’s will be done. Yet, the current age reveals many challenges to this idea. We are to share the Gospel, the Good News, until the Day of Adonai. How people respond to the message is not up to us. Some are called to plant, some to water, some to reap. We are to do our part and pray. We are to live as examples of Yahoshua’s love. There is a line in the movie Miracles from Heaven. Anna the girl in which the movie is based, says, “It’s okay, not everyone is going to believe. They will get there when they get there.” This was for me the best line in the movie. It was the purest call to action. “Not everyone is going to believe.” That doesn’t mean we get to stop walking in love.

How do we make the nations jealous? By minimizing segments of the population deemed unclean? How do we proclaim freedom to the captive? If we claim the commandments are bondage? How do we have favor with all the people? If all we do is condemn them?

“It’s okay, not everyone is going to believe. They will get there when they get there.” Anna, Miracles from Heaven.

Seek first the Kingdom

We often quote this Scripture passage. It says, “Seek first the Kingdom of Elohim and His Righteousness. As a result, all these things shall be added to you.” “All these things,” refers to items necessary for living, like food, water, and clothing. Over time, many verbal additions have been made to its meaning. Not all of these additions fit the context of the verse. But that isn’t what i want to focus on, rather, what are we to seek. In Adonai’s prayer we are taught to pray, “Our Father in Heaven, Holy is Your Name. Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven.” We will pray together this prayer in our gatherings and think that what we want is the Father’s Will. However, we have thrown out the Fathers Will and replaced it with man’s tradition.

Look at what is happening with immigration now. Not just in our country but around the world. One of the biggest complaints is that these immigrants are not entering through legal means. Once they are in, they do not assimilate into the culture. Instead, they demand that their own culture be recognized. Do you think Elohim views humanity this way? Can we find instances where we have entered the Kingdom illegally? Are we now demanding that our traditions take precedence over the Kings? We are told to die to ourselves. That we are to put on the new man, and to walk in the fruit of the spirit. Yes, we are individuals but we are to lay down our understanding and pick up the cause of Messiah.

Yahoshua says, “I am the door, no one enters but through Me.” He says, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John says of Yahoshua, “And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us.” Yahoshua declares, “If you had believed Moses, you would believe Me, for Moses wrote about Me.” Yahoshua, is found in the Torah. He is essentially the Torah made flesh as John describes Him. Yet in vain we worship Him with our traditions. In vain we come to Him seeking our will. In vain we come to Him demanding He change with our culture.

Let’s take a look at this parable spoken by Yahoshua, found here in Matthew 22:1-14. i will be breaking it up to add my own commentary.

Beginning:
Once again, Yahoshua spoke to them in parables. “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to call those he had invited to the banquet, but they refused to come. Again, he sent other servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet. But they paid no attention and went away, one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them, and killed them.”

This is what the Israelite’s have done to the prophets of Elohim throughout time. This is what is recorded in the Tanakh. Over and over again the Hebrew nation ignored the prophets and in many instances had them killed. They tried to worship Elohim in the traditions of man, in the traditions of the people around them. Even though they were given the precise instructions, which is what Torah means, instruction. Rather, they picked up and added to His instructions until what was happening was not at all what Elohim desired. For example, here is Jeremiah 7:17-19. “Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The sons gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough to make cakes for the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke Me to anger. But am I the One they are provoking? declares Yahweh. Is it not themselves they spite, to their own shame?”

Continuing:
“The king was enraged, and he sent his troops to destroy those murderers and burn their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the crossroads and invite to the banquet as many as you can find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered everyone they could find, both evil and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to see the guests, he spotted a man who was not dressed in wedding clothes. ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’

Yahoshua comes and is rejected by the people He came to restore. So the remnant who believed were sent out like the kings servants. They were sent to preach the Gospel to the nations. This is the gentiles who have entered into the wedding banquet. He invites both the evil and the good. Although it isn’t mentioned specifically, we can understand that those who were invited wore the appropriate attire. They put on the new self. As we read in Ephesians 4:20-24. “But this is not the way you came to know Messiah. Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him—in keeping with the truth that is in Yahoshua. To put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires. To be renewed in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self. Which is created to be like Elohim in true righteousness and holiness.” The clothes in the parable taught by Yahoshua, is a lifestyle. When the servants went out to the people to invite them to the banquet. The people who accepted the invitation had to assimilate into the culture of the wedding banquet. They had to put on new clothes, take off the old self and put on the new.

Continuing:
But the man was speechless.”

There is a point when Yahoshua will separate the sheep from the goats. Another parable talks about the wheat and the tares. They look the same until the wheat is fully ripened and then you can tell the difference. The wheat puts on the fullness of its expression and bows. In the parable of the wedding banquet the man is speechless when approached by the king. Many are going to be surprised on the day the King returns because they haven’t put on the new self. They haven’t assimilated into the culture of the Kingdom. They are attempting to live duel lives. They look like wheat but they are tares. How can you know you aren’t a tare? Are you living by the principal, “Your Kingdom Come, Your Will be done.” Are you, “Seeking first the Kingdom of Elohim and His Righteousness?”

Continuing:
Then the king told the servants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.”

The conclusion of this passage is a warning. Some believe they are participating in the banquet. However, they have not assimilated themselves into the culture of the Kingdom. They haven’t embraced the new self. Instead, they believe that a simple acknowledgment of Yahoshua as King is enough for salvation. They think they can live as they want because of grace. This is due to incorrect word definitions or translations and poor teaching and instruction.

There is a word at the end of this passage, chosen, so wonderful it has become a show title. We can look at the world and history and see that Elohim has chosen people. We can look at Noah who found favor and was chosen to build an Ark. We can look at Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the birth of Israel. We can look at the Prophets and we can look at the Disciples. These stories of the chosen people of Elohim. The word here in Greek is ἐκλεκτός it means picked out, selected, chosen. However, the root of this word is ἐκλέγομαι and it is reflective of response. This is reflected in the passage above, “many are called.” This implies the choosing. Nevertheless, “but few are chosen,” is more reflective of the response, to respond to being chosen. ἐκλέγομαι or eklegomai is a verb it is the action and or outcome of the thing. In the verse we are the thing, the many that are chosen. The verb indicates both to be chosen and to choose. We are called, as even Judas was called, chosen. He didn’t respond with choosing to accept the fullness of the calling. In John 6:66 we read of a mass desertion. Many of Yahoshua’s Disciples left Him that day. He then asks the Twelve, “Are you going to leave also?” Their choice? “Where would we go for you have the Words of Eternal Life.” In light of the fullness of Scripture, we understand that this word for Chosen is two sided. It requires action and response. “For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whoever believes in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life.” Many are called, few choose to accept. This is the message lost in translation.

Countless times we are warned that many believe they are saved and are not. “Many will say to Me; Adonai, Adonai, haven’t we done many wonders in Your Name?’ And I will say to them, ‘Depart from Me you who practice Torahlessness.'” How do we know that our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life? First, look in the mirror. Which clothing do you have on? That of the culture of man or the culture of the Kingdom? Are you arrayed in your own belief or are you immersed in the instruction of Yahoshua? Are you adorned in self-righteousness or are you baptized into the Righteousness of Messiah Yahoshua? Do you look like The Rabbi? Have you chosen to accept your calling?

Remnant (narrow is the way and few find it)

And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.” Matthew 7:23
i wonder how many read this passage of Scripture and think that this is for the world and not those who think they are in the “Church.” Let’s look at the whole of this passage and break it down. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Adonai, Adonai,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Adonai, Adonai, did we not prophesy in YOUR NAME, and in YOUR NAME cast out demons, and in YOUR NAME perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ ” This passage of Scripture, if it doesn’t make you tremble, should at least admonish you to take Paul’s advice, “So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;” (Philippians 2:12).

Before we dive into what Adonai meant we need to understand what the title Adonai means? Well, first it is translated into English as Lord, and therefore defined as; a person who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler. We use the term Lord mostly today which derives from the greek and comes from the root, BA’AL. This is why i like the to use Adonai, which comes from the Hebrew and is more fully translated as, “MY Master.” So according to Yahoshua, in the end, many will say to Him, “Adonai, Adonai!” These people coming to Him will recognize Him as their Master, their Lord. They continue to say, “didn’t we do . . .” They believe they were working in the Name of Yahoshua. Saul, later Paul, when he was persecuting the followers of the Way, before his conversion on the road to Damascus, thought he was doing the Will of Elohim. Yet, admittedly, he lacked true understanding of and relationship with YHWH. He was following mans tradition and not the Will of the Father in heaven. Today, likewise, many are following mans tradition and lack relationship with the Father and the Son. Yet, they strive in the name of . . .

To be a true disciple, one must walk in the way of the Rabbi, the Teacher. To put on Messiah. To become like him. Paul even says, “Imitate me as I imitate Messiah.” What did Messiah do? Only that which the Father said. Yahoshua is recorded as saying, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” He also says, “Why do you call Me Adonai, Adonai, and not do what I command you?” i have said this a lot recently, but it is worth repeating, Yahoshua is the WORD of Elohim made flesh. He is the fullness of Torah, not the end of it. He is the example of Torah, not the abolishment of it. He came to live it out so that we could imitate Him not throw it out. He came to set the record straight. He admonished the religious leaders of His day for their man made traditions and rules and commands. He would do the same today.

Let’s look at Paul for a minute as he confesses his passion for his understanding of Elohim. “I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of Yahoshua of Nazareth. And I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to death I cast my vote against them. And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme, and in raging fury against them I persecuted them even to foreign cities.” (Acts 26:9-11) ~ Here Paul tells us that his zeal for Elohim led him to persecute that which he did not understand. Even though he was versed in Torah, and the prophets. What he should have known he did not recognize because of his commitment to the Pharisaic traditions. This has been something religious leaders have done since the dawn of time, attempting to worship in their own way. Even with clear instruction not to.

Deuteronomy 4:1-2 ~ “And now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the rules that I am teaching you, and do them, that you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that YHWH, the Elohim of your fathers, is giving you. You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of YHWH your Elohim that I command you.

Revelation 22:18-19 ~ “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, Elohim will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.”

These warnings should be taken extremely serious. They are not just statements made in the wind but are reflective of the heart of Elohim who desires a personal relationship with his creation. Micah declares, “Does YHWH take delight in thousands of rams, In ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does YHWH require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your Elohim ~ The voice of YHWH will call to the city And it is sound wisdom to fear HIS name:

The first covenant with Israel was one of blood and stone. The new covenant is one of flesh and spirit. However, it is still with the house of Israel. “Behold, the days are coming, declares YHWH, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares YHWH. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares YHWH: I will put MY laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be MY people.” This passage in Hebrews is from Jeremiah 31:31-34.

So if this new covenant is simply the old covenant written on the hearts of Israel and Judah, how do the Gentile nations become partakers? Paul writes to the Romans, “Rather through their [Israel and Judah] sin salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.” And later he writes, “For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?” But by what means and for what purpose but to make salvation available to all as it was meant in the Torah! By being joined together with Israel, simply grafted in as Paul explains is this same letter to the Romans. “But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partakers with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.” There is no distinction of people but there is a distinction of those who are in covenant with YHWH. That is . . . we ‘SHEMA’ which means, hear and obey.

Shema Israel, YHWH our Elohim is One. You shall love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” It is with the heart that we love, with our soul we commit, with our mind we come to know and in our strength we serve. The two greatest commandments, love Elohim, and love our neighbor, this reveals the heart of the covenant. “You shall have no other gods before Me,” this reveals our commitment, much like the marriage covenant and why it is used as a symbol of our relationship to Messiah. We are told to meditate on His Word day and night, to know Him, is to love Him. Finally to serve Him with all we have and all we are for some everything comes easy because they have little. For others it is difficult because they have much.

This brings us back to the beginning. Narrow is the path that leads to life and few find it. “Why do you call me Adonai, Adonai, and not do as I command?” His command is the Torah, the unmistakable relationship covenant bound by our desire to keep in fellowship with our Creator. There are two paths, a religion that is based on mans tradition is the same as no religion at all which is to say without relationship. For can one truly say they know Elohim and yet forsake His Ways? But to be in covenant doesn’t mean perfection but it does mean holiness. It does mean striving. It does mean running the race to win, by training to run the race. Practice Torah, for it is the instruction manual, the guid book, to acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with Elohim. Do not find yourself on the other end of the saying, “Depart from ME, I never knew you, you who practice lawlessness.”

This is the way of the Rabbi.

Community Awareness

Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of Elohim abides forever.” 1 John 15-17

We need to begin to wake up to the world around us. It doesn’t matter what TV shows or movies you watch it is nearly a guarantee that there will be something associated with the show, the commercials or the coming attractions that are evil in the sight of Elohim. i haven’t reached a point that i advocate for a total boycott or abstinence of these forms of entertainment, but i am close. It is wicked! When Satan is paraded as a good guy, cartoons even promote him this way, what is being soaked into the mind which influences the heart? i can assure you it isn’t good. John continues:

Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” 1 John 2:18

Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.” 1 John 2:24-26

It isn’t just on TV, Movies, and Music/Radio, it is all around us every day. It walks among us silently, as the hearts of people grow colder and colder. For many are under the spell of the deception of anti-christ. Look what is happening in our communities from human trafficking, to smash and grab robberies, with community violence increasing, being aware of your surroundings is vital. i think pastors or any layperson wanting to understand their community should drive a couple hours a week for Lyft, Uber, or a Taxi. It would definitely give one a good perspective of the community they serve. Also, getting involved in a local mission or jail ministry. It would open ones eyes to a whole new understanding to those so easily brushed aside. Of course to help, but also to understand the community, the environment, and the pulse of the people.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Elohim, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Elohim, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of Elohim. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as Elohim has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 12:1-3

And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” 1 John 2:28-29

Time is getting shorter, the return of Messiah draws nearer, His footsteps in the garden are getting louder, are you ready? Are you doing all you can to stand in righteousness? Holiness unto Adonai! Yet even still thank you Yahoshua for the grace found in knowing You, empower us through Your Holy Spirit to live, to preach, to proclaim, today is the acceptable day to call on the Name of Adonai! Before it is too late!

Understand this saying . . .

I FIND HIM NOT GUILTY

What must have been going through Pilate’s head when he was questioning Yahoshua? Yes, we get a glimpse of his thoughts but not the inner struggle and that is what i find fascinating. What was his inner struggle in those moments. Certainly there was a battle raging in his heart and mind; “‘Take Him yourselves and crucify Him,’ Pilate said, ‘I find Him not guilty.’” Everyone has struggles, have you seen the meme that states, “Be kind, everyone is struggling with something.” Oh, I know the scene at the Governor’s Mansion reveals a heartless account of all involved in the betrayal of Yahoshua, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t inner struggle. Here is a portion of the account.

Then Pilate took Yahoshua and flogged Him. And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on His head and arrayed Him in a purple robe. They came up to Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ And struck Him with their hands. Pilate went out again and said to them, ‘See, I am bringing Him out to you that you may know that I find no guilt in Him.’ So Yahoshua came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, ‘Behold the man!’ When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, ‘Crucify Him, crucify Him!’ Pilate said to them, ‘Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find Him not guilty.” (John 19:1-6)

The struggle here is evident, although Pilate had Yahoshua flogged and He was mocked and disrespected, the pronouncement was made from a true understanding, “I find Him not guilty.” Yahoshua, was in that moment taking on the sins of the world, the sins of those mocking Him and ridiculing Him, for those shouting, “Crucify Him!” Understanding, that in the end, when He returns as the victor, riding in the clouds, that He will be returning as the King of kings and the Master of masters. He is the Everlasting King of Israel and we gentiles are grafted into that Kingdom, thanks to the work of Yahoshua.

Even now however, Yahoshua is on trial. Not just from those outside the fellowship of believers, but those also of the household of faith. For it is true everyone is struggling with something. If not for the finished work of Yahoshua, not a soul would be spared the suffering of eternal separation from YHWH. Oh perhaps, one might find favor in the eyes of YHWH, as Noah did, as Abraham did . . . But not on the scale that we have today thanks to Yahoshua. HalleluYah!

Over the last five posts, i have been writing about the Signs that would set the stage for Yahoshua’s triumphant return. One area that i pointed out was, “The love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24:9-12 — Here is the passage that reveals the heart of struggle within those who would say today that they are believers in Yahoshua. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My Name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.”

i think it is important for us to remember and to build on our faith while we still can. Because, there is coming a time when we will be under such great persecution that many will fall away, betray one another, fall for the false teachings that have and will continue to lead many astray and allow for our hearts to grow cold. The struggle within our hearts and minds are real. The struggle to forgive others, the struggle to see those through the eyes of Yahoshua, “‘Who condemns you?’ Yahoshua asked the woman, ‘No one Adonai,’ Yahoshua said, ‘Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.’” Or to those who have given in to weakness, “‘Do you love Me?’ Yahoshua asked Peter, and Peter replied, ‘Yes Adonai, I love you!’ Yahoshua said, “Feed My sheep.’”

Salvation is in Yahoshua, there is no other name to which one can call upon for forgiveness. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. “Behold the lamb of Elohim, who takes away the sin of the world.” It is by grace, through faith, that our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life! Yet, History repeats . . . Some call it a foreshadowing, regardless, we seem not to learn. As the Israelites in the desert so we tend to forget the goodness of Elohim. Both, His power and His forgiveness. May we never forget what Yahoshua did for us on the cross.

Remember, no matter the battle you are facing, or the struggles in your heart and mind, Yahoshua our High Priest has and is praying for you. “I am praying for them . . . Holy Father, keep them in Your Name . . . That they may be one . . . I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one . . . Sanctify them in the Truth; Your Word is Truth . . . That they also may be sanctified in Truth.” Portions taken from John 17

Pilate’s words, “I find Him not guilty.” Are the very words we receive when we put our faith in Yahoshua, for He took our guilt and shame upon Himself and suffered and died in our place. That where He is we may also be! The accuser, the evil one, stands and accuses us; while our advocate the High Priest prays for us; And because of the work of Yahoshua on the cross, He who judges the earth declares, “I find him not guilty!”

Behold the LAMB and BELIEVE! Time is getting short.

Will Believers Face the Final Anti-Christ? Insights from Scripture (Signs Pt 5)

Harpazo?

The day is coming when you will see what Daniel spoke of . . .” Matthew 24:15

There is a great deal of thought, opinion, and theory, concerning what is widely known as the 70th week of Daniel. What most scholars agree on is that the main character referenced in it is the final Anti-Christ. Why final? Because the word says that there will be many anti-Christs throughout history, that even the “spirit of anti-Christ is present in the world already.” Where there is some differences in timing and whether the church will see these things is the debate. However, we are going to read the word and see what it says. It is important at this time to remind us that this discussion and teaching that Yahoshua is having with His disciples is a private lesson, He was speaking to them about them.

So when YOU SEE, the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. And woe to the pregnant women and for those who are nursing infants in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” Matthew 24:15-22

The 70th week of Daniel is the final seven year period known by eschatologists as the tribulation period. It is believed to be broken up into two equal parts, three and half years on either side of this event spoke of— “the abomination of desolation.” When the final Anti-Christ, steps into the Holy of Holies and declares himself to be God. Something satan has been trying to do since at least the beginning of human history, recoded in Genesis. We need to recognize that prior to this final Anti-Christ the Church is warned that there will be many false Messiah’s and false prophets. Some will even perform great signs and wonders. We are to be prepared NOT to follow them but especially this final one. For he too will perform many wonderful signs and there will be a great delusion or deception, that will fool MANY.

The teaching of those who believe in a pre-tribulation rapture would have you believe that the Church will not be present at this time. They believe that they will be raptured or caught up (harpazo is the Greek term being translated), to meet Yahoshua in the clouds and become spectators from afar of the tragic events unfolding on earth. However, it is clear that Yahoshua wasn’t teaching this at all. Let’s take a little time exploring some clues to get some understanding. Here are a few clues. Yahoshua said, “So when YOU SEE . . .” Who was He teaching? His disciples, the pre-tribulation crowd will say they were Jews, my rebuttal is simple, were they not Messianic Jews? Are Messianic Jews not worthy of the rapture? That should be enough but there is more.

The pre-tribulation crowd also will say that babies and children will be raptured. This is depicted in the movie Left Behind. However, again Yahoshua teaching His disciples says, “and woe to the pregnant women and for those who are nursing infants.” If the rapture takes children why are there nursing infants? Again, will it only be Jewish infants that remain? There is still another clue here in Yahoshua’s teaching to look at. “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elects sake those days will be shortened.” Now who are the elect? The pre-tribulation crowd will say the elect is Israel, which they are not wrong but who are we? Gentiles, yes, but we are grafted into Israel. There is no longer, Jew or Greek . . .

Ephesians 1:5 says, “He predestined us for adoption through Yahoshua Messiah, according to the purpose of His will.” When a child is adopted, they take on the name and become one with the family. This is what Elohim does with us who have accepted Yahoshua as our Adonai. We are adopted and take on the name of the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Here is one more clue, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days . . . Then will appear in the heaven the sign of the Son of Man . . . They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds . . . And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect.” (Matthew 24:29-31). Read this alongside the passage the pre-tribulation crowd teach as the rapture verse in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. Sure does sound like the same event.

Why do i make so much of this point? i fear that the rapture teaching will lead to great harm. This fear comes into play when the things spoken of in Matthew 24 begin to unfold. It concerns the pre-tribulation crowd still being here. i fear if they are not ready to stand against the final Anti-Christ, they will end up standing with him. At the very least, they will not be in his way. There is coming a great deception, that if possible will fool the very elect. If i am wrong about the rapture, no harm is done. Trust me if there is something to be wrong about, i hope it would be this. Even so i prepared myself to endure. I readied my spirit to stand in the face of death. I will NOT deny my Adonai Yahoshua Messiah. However, if the pre-tribulation crowd is wrong, and i fear they are, are they spiritually ready to endure? Are they ready to deny the many false Christ’s and THE false christ to come? “See, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.” Matthew 24:25-26

Matthew 24:31 NLT— “And He will send out His angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather His chosen ones from all over the world — From the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.”

Even still Adonai come quickly, Maranatha!

Signs . . . Pt 4

Persecutions and the Increase of Sin

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:9-14

We must seek to do the WILL of the Father, love Elohim with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength; likewise our neighbor as ourselves. Love our enemies, “Forgive them for they know NOT what they do” (Said, Yahoshua on the cross and Stephen under a pile of rubble). It is going to become increasingly hard to love others, to love our enemies. Especially, once they begin to turn on us in spite of the love we have shown. They will assume they are doing what is right. Much like the brown shirts of Germany. They thought they were doing what is right by turning in the Jewish people and those who would help them. Even Paul admitted that he thought his zeal for YHWH gave him the right to persecute the Believers of the WAY.

It will come first from within. We see it already within the Church as it splits into the right, left, paradigm. False teachers have sprung up and are tickling the ears of many and in the midst of them are the ignorant. Persecutions are nothing new. We in the west don’t understand fully the weight because we have been blessed to live in the freedom of religion capital of the world. The early church wasn’t as lucky. The Apostles with the exception of John were all murdered for their belief. Some will say that John being exiled on the island of Patmos was a sever punishment, if only i would be exiled on an island. i would go in a heartbeat, but that’s a different story.

i recently saw a story about Christian persecution around the world and how it is increasingly common. India surprisingly, with only a single digit percentage of Christians is under increasing persecution. Of course China, but places like Ireland are also on the list. Of course the many countries on the African continent is a hotbed for persecution against Christians. So what will happen when that persecution really turns up on believers around the world? Well, Yahoshua said, many will be offended. i am one that believes this isn’t just those outside the “Church” i believe those who think of themselves as Christians will be offended by the Truth of the Word and turn on their fellowship thinking they are doing a service to the greater good. For the sake of coexisting, of course.

Even now we have believers who relish in the fall of other believers. They point fingers, laugh and applaud, rather than weep, and pray for them, reaching out in love as the word declares, in order to restore them. We treat them like a hot-potato and the sooner they are gone the better. Few things hurt more than having those you love, cheer your biggest struggles. The question is this; Can one forgive and live under true persecution? Like many around the world, can you stand up in the face of death? Can you endure to the end, even if that end is a martyr’s death? Because of this persecution, the love of many will grow cold. Not just the persecution, but the lawlessness.

Yahoshua, also talked about the increase in lawlessness. Who’s law? Man’s law or Elohim’s law? As the world increasingly decriminalizes things it certainly can’t be man’s laws that lawlessness abounds in . . . Certainly, Yahoshua was referring to the increase of lawlessness to the Word, to the laws of Elohim. But what laws is He talking about since many in the Church believe the old covenant is gone? This is a slippery slop for the church and they don’t even realize they are on it. Yahoshua, said, depart from Me you who practice lawlessness, this is the same lawlessness that is increasing in the world.

We need to get back to the fundamentals of walking with Yahoshua. Follow His example, which will ensure that we are counted worthy of persecution. That seems counter intuitive but it is truth. We must walk in love that says, go and sin no more. We must walk in love that picks up the broken-hearted, helps the widow and the orphan. We must walk in love that puts others first. We must walk in love that does justly, loves mercy, and walks humbly with YHWH.

Endure to the end, do not stop loving and sharing the good news of salvation in Yahoshua who takes away the sin of the world. This message will reach the ends of the earth . . . Endure to the end!

Do no let your love grow cold.

Signs . . . Pt 3

Famines, Pestilences, and Earthquakes

“. . . And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.” Matthew 24:7

Much like wars, famines, disease, and earthquakes have been around since the fall of man. We could look at countless famines in Scripture, Egypt and the surrounding territories suffered a famine and if not for Joseph interpreting Pharaoh’s dream things would have been way worse. Plague’s, and diseases, have also been around, again we could find many examples of this within Scripture. Finally, earthquakes, i think one overlooked earthquake in Scripture is the one at Yahoshua’s death, in which the graves opened up (see Matthew 27:51-53).

So, again, like with wars we need to get some perspective. Once again Israel is the timepiece. With that our time stamp takes us to 1948. Everything before 1948 we can put in the category of Braxton Hicks Contractions. Here is a quote from social science action, “More than 70 million people died in famines during the 20th century.” Although the article notes the success, some countries are having eradicating mass mortality food crises. It also points out that parts of the world, namely sub-Saharan Africa, have become endemic since the late 1960’s.

We all know of the most recent plan-demic. As reported, this bio engineered power grab, with particularly deadly results in the elderly and immuno compromised population, brought the economy of the world to a screeching halt. Still, what is the data since 1948? i went to PubMed for the following: “The last 40 years has been no exception, as the world witnessed the emergence and reemergence of viral outbreaks, of which Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in 1981, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV) in 2002, H1N1 influenza virus in 2009, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in 2012, Ebola virus in 2013 and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) in 2019-present, are noteworthy.” This and the prediction of more severe diseases to come, just ask the WEF, or Bill Gates.

The one that gets the most press is earthquakes and although for a long time they tried to deflect the truth, one could always find the data that showed an uptick in earthquakes; both frequency and magnitude. Here is a statement from USGS.gov “In the past 40-50 years, our records show that we have exceeded the long-term average number of major earthquakes about a dozen times. The year with the largest total was 2010, with 23 major earthquakes (greater than or equal to magnitude 7.0).” What about 2023? “In the span of 12 months in 2023, a staggering 15,600 earthquakes were detected. Among these, 19 seismic events reached a significant magnitude of 7.0 or higher, 128 between magnitudes 6.0 and 6.9, and 1,637 registered magnitudes between 5.0 and 5.9.” (Data collected by Quantectum).

Although, there is without a doubt an uptick in both magnitude and frequency of earthquakes, disease, and famines, these things should not bring fear or worry. No, on the contrary, Yahoshua said, “See that you are not troubled.” These things must take place, what they should do for us as believers is get our attention. His return is a certainty, and it draws increasingly closer. So now is the time to Workout Your Salvation with Fear and Trembling! Or ask the question, “What must I do to be saved?”

Are we in the birth pains? It sure does feel like it!
